Generation to Generation – Empowering Young Girls in Peacebuilding

Honoring the past. Inspiring the future.

For centuries, Palestinian women have been the backbone of peacebuilding and community life. Yet too often, their stories go untold. Generation to Generation changes that.

This unique program creates a safe, inspiring space for young Palestinian women to explore identity, overcome trauma, build leadership skills, and share the untold stories of women who shaped their communities.

Through weekly workshops, skill-building in storytelling and photography, and direct engagement with community leaders, participants become confident voices for peace and change — locally and internationally.

Our Story So Far

Since launching in 2020 with Bethlehem University, we’ve worked with three cohorts of young women:

• 2020: 7 participants documented 13 stories of inspiring women.
• 2022: 9 participants produced 16 powerful narratives.
• 2024: 7 participants created 13 new stories capturing resilience and hope.

These stories have been published, exhibited, and shared worldwide, inspiring both their communities and global audiences.

What We Do

1. Training & Leadership

• 15 interactive sessions on trauma awareness, empathy, identity, leadership, and activism.

2. Storytelling & Photography

• Hands-on training in writing and photography to document women’s histories.

3. Publishing & Exhibitions

• A bilingual (Arabic/English) booklet of stories.
• Public exhibitions celebrating women’s contributions.

4. Advocacy & Policy Engagement

• Meetings with 5 local female decision-makers.
• Participation in peacebuilding forums at home and abroad.

5. Mentorship & Support Networks

• One-on-one mentoring with leaders in advocacy, policymaking, and community development.

6. Global Outreach

• Stories shared through Holy Land Trust’s Travel & Encounter program, online campaigns, and international events.
