Community Support (Direct Aid, Needs Response & Humanitarian Assistance)
Community Support focuses on responding to the immediate and evolving needs of Palestinian communities who are facing ongoing injustice and challenging living conditions.
HLTworks directly with communities to design and implement community resilience initiatives that address both urgent needs and longer-term stability. These efforts combine direct humanitarian assistance with community-based responses that strengthen dignity, safety, and the ability of communities to remain and sustain their livelihoods.
This includes:
- Direct aid, such as food coupons and essential support for vulnerable families
- Home rebuilding initiatives for families affected by demolitions
- Rapid response to community needs in times of crisis
- Community resilience initiatives, including livelihood support such as greenhouses and women-led economic activities
- Support for local initiatives that strengthen community cohesion and stability
Through this pillar, Holy Land Trust contributes to reinforcing the ability of communities to remain resilient, maintain their presence, and respond collectively to ongoing challenges.
