Since 2020 , the Generation to Generation project, initiated by Holy Land Trust (HLT), has empowered young girls in Bethlehem, giving them the tools and skills to become future leaders and activists in their communities. At HLT, we believe in the potential of young girls and are committed to equipping them with the knowledge and abilities to be catalysts for change in their local and global environments.

Through this transformative initiative, we provide a space where girls can learn vital leadership and activism skills. Our approach includes Nonlinear Leadership, Nonviolent Communication, and Trauma-Informed Care, ensuring the girls are not only prepared to lead but are also equipped to support others in navigating their own challenges.

In addition to leadership development, the project focuses on connection and community. We offer the girls the unique opportunity to meet and interact with active, leading women in their own communities. These women serve as inspiring role models and mentors, showcasing the impact of local leadership and activism.

To further foster their skills, we train the young girls in writing and photography. They are encouraged to interview these influential women, documenting their stories and capturing their essence through photos. This allows the girls to practice their new abilities while contributing to their community’s narrative.

At the end of the project, all written stories are compiled into a booklet, providing a tangible representation of the project’s success and impact. The girls’ photographs and stories are then showcased in an exhibition, offering the local and international community the chance to engage with the powerful work these young women have produced.

The Generation to Generation project continues to inspire, empower, and shape the next generation of leaders. It stands as a testament to HLT’s commitment to fostering future activists who will lead with empathy, strength, and vision.
