“Through this program, I found my voice and realized that my story matters.”

– Generation to Generation Alumna

The 5th edition of the Generation to Generation project, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and implemented by Holy Land Trust in partnership with Bethlehem University , is set to begin its training sessions this February.

Recruitment is ongoing, bringing together 20 female students from city, village, and camp communities, representing both Christian and Muslim backgrounds. Meetings with the Dean’s Office are happening regularly, and the introduction meeting with selected students will take place on Thursday, January 29th at Bethlehem University.

Over 18 intensive training sessions, participants will engage in advocacy, leadership, feminism, compassionate listening, spiritual reflection, writing, photography, and interview documentation. The program empowers young women to overcome trauma, build resilience, and transform challenges into strength, while documenting and amplifying over 20 stories of Palestinian women to influence local and international audiences.

By fostering safe spaces for creativity and expression and encouraging intergenerational mentorship, Generation to Generation strengthens grassroots ownership, feminist perspectives, and community-driven peacebuilding, turning personal and collective experiences into a legacy of hope and empowerment.

We are looking forward to another successful edition of the Generation to Generation, continuing to empower young women and preserve Palestinian women’s narratives for generations to come.

On 23 January, Holy Land Trust organized a new gathering as part of the monthly activity series Monthly Gathering | لمة الشهر , titled “Alternative Education and the Environment – Re-Thinking, Re-Practicing, and Re-Viving Alternative Education in Palestine” , in cooperation with the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability in Bethlehem.

The gathering included an interactive tour of the educational garden and the new building of the Palestine Museum of Natural History , followed by an open discussion among participants on educational practices and spaces in Palestine, as well as the relationship between knowledge, identity, and the land .

Monthly Gathering | لمة الشهر is a monthly space for discussion, exchange, and connection within the local Palestinian community, with a strong focus on youth participation and exchange across generations.

The series explores themes such as social justice, Palestinian identity, the realities of Israeli occupation and settler colonialism, and environmental issues. Each month, the gathering connects participants with a different local initiative or institution, creating opportunities to connect to the people behind the work and strengthen ties within the local community.

At its heart, Monthly Gathering | لمة الشهر offers an open and welcoming space for conversation, reflecting Holy Land Trust’s mission to support a self-aware generation of Palestinian youth and to help create local spaces for public discourse that are often missing.

As we launch the 5th edition of Generation to Generation , we invite our community, partners, and friends to stand with us in supporting young Palestinian women as they step into leadership, advocacy, and storytelling roles.

Your support enables safe spaces for learning and expression , provides young women with tools to document and preserve women’s histories, and ensures that grassroots voices continue to reach decision-makers locally and internationally. Through this program, stories are not only told—they are protected, amplified, and transformed into collective strength.

By supporting the Generation-to-Generation Project, you are contributing to women-led , community-driven change, helping transform trauma into hope, and ensuring that the voices of Palestinian women remain central to peacebuilding and social justice efforts.

Together, we can continue building a future shaped by resilience, dignity, and the power of women’s stories.

When we invest in young women, we are not only supporting individuals—we are safeguarding stories, strengthening communities, and shaping a more just future.
